AIRBNB commissioned illustrator Mads BERG c/o AGENT MOLLY & CO to create key visuals for the ‘Great Outdoors’ campaign for “AirBnB’s outstanding and untraditionally adventurous lodging options.”
Based in Copenhagen, Mads Berg is widely known for his modern art deco style and vintage graphics. He illustrates mainly for posters, brands, key visuals, editorials, cover art and murals. His work is characterized by a style which translates classic poster art into a modern and timeless look. His reduced environments are marked by an elegant simplicity which delivers a concise narrative message. Mads has been working as an illustrator and designer since 2001 and has collaborated with clients such as Coca Cola, Orangina, San Diego Zoo, Lego, Monocle, and Wired. He occasionally works as a lecturer at design schools and has been a member of multiple juries, awarding the best in Swedish and Norwegian Contemporary Illustration. In 2010, he won the ‘Best Danish Children’s Comic’ award, and in 2009, he won the Danish Design Award. Mads’ poster art is represented at the Danish National Design Archives at the Design Museum.
