Following Anke Luckmann's beautiful shoot for the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Fellbach was next featured six months later. This is the official Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Department, which cares for vehicles that have been out of production for at least 15 years.
For the advertisement, photographer Anke Luckmann asked the famous Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupé - the gullwing model is a true collector's item - to park in front of the Classic Center.
"Together with creative director Justine Boltzek from the agency Banauten, we found far more subjects than we could ultimately photograph. It's always fantastic – and a truly exhilarating experience – to have such classic cars in front of the lens," Anke Luckmann, photographer.
The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center is the official Mercedes-Benz department for classic cars. It opened on May 18, 1993, in Fellbach. A second location followed in June 2006 in Irvine, California. The Classic Center offers original parts, repairs, restorations, and information for historic Mercedes-Benz vehicles that have been out of production for at least 15 years.
For example, you can find over 160,000 original parts in the Mercedes-Benz Classic online parts search - from newly manufactured components to original specifications to rare spare parts for historic model series.
Production was overseen by Florian Sibert of Underpier, and post-production was handled by Trey.
