RECOM Postproduktion is responsible for this lighthearted, summery Renault Twingo E-Tech campaign, realized in full CGI. The agency in charge was Publicis Conseil, with Creative Director Gurvan Prioul and Art Director Marin Ponsar.
The colorful, bright pink background, perfectly complemented by palm trees by the sea, conveys the joie de vivre and the optimistic, carefree spirit of the original Twingo from the 1990s into our modern, contemporary e-mobility.
The vehicle itself is presented in the striking, vibrant launch colors of green, mango yellow, and red – a deliberate choice to stand out from the usual gray, white, and black of the globally established and somewhat dreary streetscape.
The license plate (RE-092-LT) is a clever Easter egg from the marketing department. It directly references the historical roots of the original Twingo, which celebrated its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in 1992.
RE stands for the Renault brand name, and 092 refers directly to September 1992 (09/92). That month, the original Twingo celebrated its highly anticipated world premiere at the Paris Motor Show and took the city car segment by storm. LT is short for "Le Twingo" and refers to the iconic slogan of the original 1990s advertising campaign.
The car launched in 1992 with the famous slogan "Twingo: Invent the life that suits you" (French: "Twingo, à vous d'inventer la vie qui va avec") – and just like the colorful pop-art animations of the original 1990s campaign, the new campaign also challenges today's often very clinical automotive advertising and focuses on fun combined with lifestyle.
