Sebastian König is a German photographer whose work spans portrait, documentary, and contemporary photography.
His visual language blends authentic observation with atmosphere, memory, and abstraction, creating an evocative, cinematic aesthetic.
His work explores themes such as transience, belonging, and personal narratives, often focusing on quiet moments, human connections, and the relationship between people and place.
He deliberately blurs the boundaries between pure fashion editorial, fine art, and documentary-style imagery. Eschewing rigid posing, he favors dynamic group compositions, natural light, and emotional intimacy.
In addition to independent art projects, he regularly works on commissions for magazines and fashion brands. He is particularly well-known for his expressive backstage and reportage photography from Berlin Fashion Week—capturing, for instance, the Berlin-based avant-garde label Richert Beil.
Sebastian studied at the Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin.
