The competition by the German Designer Club (DDC), Good Design 18, has started in its new form. To better promote young talent, there were considerations on how to enable young new talent in the design business and small offices to participate.
The result: Fees for winners have been drastically reduced. If a medal is won, the winner now pays only 295 € (plus VAT) as opposed to previously 1150 €. Students receive the winner package like before free of charge. The reduction was made possible by adapting the communication measures.
The annual DDC "Good Design" competition is unique throughout the industry, comprising 10 categories: Product, Architecture & Interior, Identity, Digital Media, Brand Communication, Corporate Communication, Annual Business Reports, Excellent Arts, Moving Image, and Future (student works).
In a two-stage process, well-designed works and design products for markets in German-speaking countries from the years 2016 and 2017 are recognized by an interdisciplinary jury, presented and awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.
