Bettina Lewin : in Paris for WEMPE, as well as ‘into the wild’ for the TOWN & COUNTRY wedding issue

Photographer Bettina LEWIN produced an image for the French flagship store of jewellery expert WEMPE in Paris. 16, Rue Royale is the aristocratic address.

After the dreamlike shoot in Paris, Bettina got on a plane to Africa straight away.

She met her personal dream team from TOWN & COUNTRY New York in Nairobi.

She shot the cover and a spread for the wedding issue amidst the impressive scenery.

Bettina tells GoSee: ‘It was an exciting journey. I created the images for this spread in and around the magical Ol Donyo Lodge at the foot of Kilimanjaro.

A fantastic place to shoot wedding dresses – and a fascinating, unforgettable landscape.’

She continues: ‘The only thing is, it’s extremely dark at night, which really makes the noises of wild animals (we had a lion couple in our camp) sound even more dramatic.’

You can see the pretty result safe and sound here on GoSee.

About Bettina Lewin

Bettina Lewin was born in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany. When she was as young as 9-years-old, she was determined to become a Photographer one day. After completing High School, she left for Barcelona where she started working as a Photographer for the independent magazine, V.O.; and produced a campaign for a Spanish fashion chain with just 4 rolls of film and 1 lens. The campaign was a huge success. In an unexpected turn, Bettina was then presented an opportunity to become a Beauty Editor, which she accepted and held for 12 years. Despite her success in this role, she never let go of her deep love for photography and decided to resign and return to it. Her work has since been shown in many exhibitions.
In 2001, Bettina became a full-time Photographer.
