Die Autodidaktin Dorothea Tanning war eine amerikanische Malerin, Bildhauerin und Schriftstellerin. Sie entwarf darüber hinaus Bühnenausstattungen und Kostüme für Ballett und Theater. Dorothea Tanning war ab 1946 mit dem deutschen Künstler Max Ernst (seine vierte und letzte Ehe) verheiratet. Sie feierten in Beverly Hills eine Doppelhochzeit, und zwar mit Man Ray und Juliet Browner. Dorothea starb im Alter von 101 Jahren in New York, wohin sie nach dem Tod von Max Ernst Ende der 70er Jahre zog. Ihr zweiter Gedichtband 'Coming to That' erschien im Herbst 2011. Lucha Libre (span. für Freistilkampf) ist eine Form des professionellen Wrestling, die in Mexiko entwickelt wurde. Lucha Libre geht zurück auf die frühen 1930er, als Salvador Lutteroth US-amerikanische Wrestler, die er in seiner Zeit in Texas gesehen hatte, nach Mexiko brachte. Eine Person, die Lucha Libre betreibt, wird Luchador bzw. Luchadora genannt. Die Regeln sind ähnlich wie im amerikanischen Wrestling. Matches kann man gewinnen, wenn man seinen Konkurrenten auf der Matte hält, während der Ringrichter bis 3 zählt (Pin), ihn zur Aufgabe zwingt, der Gegner außerhalb des Ringes ausgezählt wird (Ringrichter zählt bis 10), oder durch Disqualifikation.
