The environmental campaign of the city of Freiburg im Breisgau promotes a holistic approach to sustainable nutrition. It emphasizes that genuine environmental protection isn't achieved by simply buying a single organic product. Instead, it requires a permanent shift towards regional and seasonal foods.
The campaign for the climate-conscious city of Freiburg was photographed by Meike Kenn on behalf of the agency tippingpoints.
The initiative was launched by the Freiburg Environmental Protection Office. Freiburg is already considered a very progressive "green city" in environmentally conscious Germany.
The campaign meets citizens exactly where they are: It praises what has been achieved ("So far."), but at the same time makes it unequivocally clear that much more is needed to achieve the targeted climate neutrality by 2035 ("So good."). It was funded by the Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Energy of Baden-Württemberg.
Freiburg im Breisgau is Germany's southernmost major city, located in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg on the western edge of the Black Forest. This university city steeped in tradition is known worldwide for its historic old town, its characteristic "Bächle" (small streams), and its pioneering role as a green, sustainable "Eco-City."
tippingpoints GmbH is a specialized agency for sustainable communication with offices in Bonn and Berlin. Its name is derived from ecological and societal tipping points.
