The Stuttgart Ballet has been among the world's leading ballet ensembles since the beginning of the 1960s. Ballet Director John Cranko founded this reputation with well-known choreographies and his ensemble. After Cranko's death in 1973, Glen Tetley and then the legendary Marcia Haydée took over. Since 1996, Reid Anderson has been the Director of the Stuttgart Ballet company.
Since the beginning of the new 2018/19 season, former soloist Tamas Detrich is the Ballet Director of the Stuttgart Ballet – and he was the one to commission the campaign.
