For Harper’s Bazaar UK, David Ferrua photographed the beauty editorial “Angel Eyes” for Dior Beauty, featuring model Nina Sommerfeld c/o Premier Model Management. The shoot was produced by JPPS, with the expressive make-up looks created by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.
Gold, olive green, pink and rich red meet strongly defined eyes and glossy lips. Extreme close-ups, warm light flares and subtly soft textures give the series a deliberately retro, almost sultry Seventies feel – glamorous, slightly eccentric and infused with a distinctly British cool that keeps the editorial feeling contemporary.
Nina Sommerfeld carries the different looks with an almost cinematic presence, while Peter Philips plays with colour and texture somewhere between classic glamour and experimental beauty.
