AVA PIVOT : MARCO CASTELLI campaign made in New York, CALEO mag, CLIENT mag, QUALITY mag & the OVVO OPTICS campaign for Euch on GoSee

For Italian designer MARCO CASTELLI, AVA PIVOT photographed the new campaign above the rooftops of New York. Gathered in front of her camera was a must-see circle of international models, including Danny Lim, Carlens Sainvil, Drew Hanley, and Marco Castelli. And since women also look great in menswear, Atikah Karim also got to have her Ava Pivot moment. Styling: Todd Hanshaw, grooming: Angela Kaeser, retouch by Kustrim Kunushevci.

About - Marco Castelli Collection was born as a fashion line for men designed by Marco in collaboration with expert tailor Sarta Fiorella Ciaboco and marketing manager Tommaso Madè. The Marco Castelli collection is meant to be the last word in style and casual elegance for the modern man who expresses himself in a duality where inspiration is the guide, and elegance is always the backdrop for a moment. castellicollection.it

Well-known Austrian male model and emerging actor Gerhard Freidl was photographed by Berlin-based photographer AVA PIVOT for a menswear spread in CALEO magazine. Styling: Haniball Saliba, grooming: Florian Ferino, retouch: Virgil Hritcu.

For the fashion editorial 'Fisherman`s Friend' in CLIENT magazine, AVA PIVOT photographed male model Dimitrij Vysokolyan at Cafe am Neuen See in Berlin. Grooming: Florian Ferino, styling: Carola Schorbach, retouch: Kushtrim Kunushevci.

In 2015, she was photographed by Jingna Zhang, in 2016 by Greg Lotus, and this year, it was AVA PIVOT's turn to realize the OVVO OPTICS campaign in New York. “I got the chance to reinterpret the brand with my own vision and, at the same time, I enjoyed working with the familiar two faces from all previous OVVO campaigns,” photographer AVA PIVOT tells GoSee. We have the result for you right here. Hair, make-up & hair color: Luca Cianciolo, retouch: Kushtrim Kunushevci.

About - OVVO Optics has been present in the U.S. since March 2011. Its history, however, goes back to Europe of the Cold War era. That’s when a group of scientists, who were working on developing a material for spacecraft and military use, fused surgical steel and titanium, achieving an exceptionally light, durable and flexible material that is also hypoallergenic. Inspired by its remarkable qualities, in 1980 the engineers of the company started using this unique composite to make frames for glasses.  ovvooptics.com

About Ava Pivot

.......................................

Born as the child of a renowned artist family in January 1980 in Starnberg, Ava’s affinity for arts was literally laid into her cradle. She absolved a conventional, at that time still analog, apprenticeship as a photographer by Rolf Hartenfels (R.I.P.). Following up on master school and study of design and a small scale assistance, she was perfectly capable of masterly fulfilling large orders, for instance image catalogues, campaigns and look-books, for renowned fashion labels. In the time from 2007 to 2011 Ava swapped her camera for a job as a graphic designer.

Her true love though always remained photography. 2012 marked her return to full time photography. Pictures that require a strong sensuality and tell stories characterize her work. Having an extensive empathy for her models, numerous actors have up to now gladly betaken themselves to Ava for intimate and remarkable photos. Gaining an increasing popularity in fashion- and photography magazines, her nude photography decorates meanwhile a large number of international galleries. Always looking for soul and emotions in her pictures, she agrees with Coco Chanel’s point of view:

“Female nudity has to be given to men with a teaspoon, not a ladle”

The former chief editor of a well known magazine about Ava: “Ava’s works are distinguished for showing the being and not merely the look of a person.

It’s fitting to say that she manages to transport “soul and emotion” and to capture a wonderful sensuality.

Ava’s remarkable feeling for the use of daylight and her very own pictorial language through playing with depth of field, perspective and back light make her pictures so intense.”
