We present you the posters here which were created as part of the kick-off event for the interdisciplinary project ‘¡Vamos Simbiosis! – Building a Partnership with the Sea through Arts and Science’ of the University of Heidelberg and LMU Munich.
The project is a think tank of artists and scientists in an attempt to find climate- and environment-relevant solutions that contribute to saving the eco-system of the Mediterranean Sea.
“I want to get you excited about the marine world. I believe that experience, science and storytelling will lead to a symbiotic partnership between us and the environment.” says founder Prof. Dr. Annika Guse, Heidelberg, cell biologist, coral symbiosis researcher, and diver.
“I believe that art could help to profoundly make urgent social issues tangible and that interdisciplinarity is the way to solve them.” Dr. Stephanie Guse, Vienna, artist and water lover, elaborates on the idea.
The posters were designed in cooperation with Katrin and Kristina c/o ART ACT. The integration of art to promote the communication of knowledge and science is an experimental part of the concept.
“Colors and scents, plants and animals, people and culture – the Mediterranean fills me with deep love and admiration. I would like to share this affection through words and images, so all of us will set out to protect this irreplaceable treasure.” says Kristina Heldmann, Berlin, illustrator, author, and nature lover.
From the extremely versatile twins Christian and Knut, both c/o ART ACT, we present you illustrations for a book about Munich’s ‘Schickeria’, or It-crowd. Why? Well, because silicon breasts are sexy and a status symbol! … At least if you ask author Mareike Daum.
The time has come for us to deal more openly with the topic of cosmetic surgery. After all, more and more people are getting a nip and tuck in the name of beauty. This book doesn’t aspire to be a medical manual. Much more than that, it describes in a charming and entertaining way how such a cosmetic operation feels from a patient’s point of view. For the author, feminism and cosmetic surgery are not a contradiction. The choices of women must be respected. And if they decide in favor of double D, then that’s their right! ‘Between Bussi Bussi and Botox’ is ideal reading for everyone toying with the idea of having a cosmetic operation or who would like to better prepare for one with practical tips.
Plus, we present you funny memojies of various race car drivers for IWC as well as the yearly FC Bayern Advent calendar.
We gladly present you – albeit a little later – the atmospheric 2022 Christmas card for jeweler WEMPE plus striking illustrations for the employee magazine of successful drugstore DM. Thanks for the artwork goes to Jacqueline c/o ART ACT.

For the tourism center of the local recreation area Morvan near Burgundy, Mickael c/o ART ACT illustrated a 2.5m by 8m wall mural as a vector in three parts. Appearing on it are the various activities and magnificent landscapes the region has to offer.
The regional nature park Morvan protects the forests and heath areas of Morvan. This French low mountain range in the Burgundy region is covered up to 60 % by dense mixed woodlands. The nature park was established in 1970 and is one of the vastest nature parks in France with an area of 281,400 ha.
We gladly present you further wonderful and striking illustrations by Mickael which adorn the hiking trail with sketches of life in the forest and the life cycle of wood here on GoSee.News.
