As part of the major event “Siam Paragon A Prosperous Chinese New Year 2026”, created in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and attracting thousands of visitors daily, the luxury shopping destination transforms into a cultural hotspot with performances and spectacular installations.
At the center: the monumental installation by Suthipa Kamyam c/o WILDFOX RUNNING. The artist translates the traditional Chinese lion – a symbol of protection, luck and prosperity – into a bold, contemporary visual language. Her “Fortune Guardians” feel both cut from flat surfaces and alive in motion: rich color fields meet precise linework, ornamental details meet clean, almost graphic compositions.
The work plays with contrasts – between folklore and pop, between decoration and narration. The lions appear not just as figures, but as carriers of energy: visual guardians bringing positive force, luck and joy into the space.
Known for her work with international brands, Suthipa Kamyam operates right at this intersection. Cultural codes are not reproduced, but reinterpreted – reduced, rhythmized and charged with color and movement.
With “The Fortune Guardians”, she creates a body of work that functions both in space and on the surface – as an installation, as illustration, and as a visual symbol of a powerful new beginning.
