With the recently opened Laugaras Lagoon in the south of Iceland, the international spa and travel scene gains a new highlight – architecturally refined and embedded in a dramatic volcanic landscape. The lagoon combines geothermal water with raw nature and a minimalist design that feels almost cinematic.
The campaign and entire website visuals were created by Icelandic photographer Axel Sigurdarson The images were produced under extreme conditions: shot on an icy day in January, in temperatures that intensify the contrast between steaming water and the frozen surroundings.
Sigurdarson’s images capture exactly that – they tell not only of a place, but of a feeling. Between rising steam, calm water surfaces and clean architectural lines, a visual language emerges that feels both luxurious and elemental. The creative execution was realized in collaboration with PEEL Agency and Egill Thor.
