Two major names who, surprisingly, have only now come together for a shoot: Annie Leibovitz photographed Seinfeld and Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the September issue of US Vogue. For the actress, the collaboration fulfilled a long-held wish: “That was a life dream, for me to work with her,” she tells Vogue about working with Leibovitz.
The portraits capture Louis-Dreyfus at a special moment in her career as she prepares to make her Broadway debut in a revival of Jon Robin Baitz’s Other Desert Cities, playing Polly, the family matriarch. The Tony Award-winning play is running on Broadway for a limited 16-week engagement. In her conversation with Vogue, Louis-Dreyfus also talks about her work, getting older, going to therapy with her mother, and losing her longtime home in the Palisades Fire.
