Actor Christopher Walken graces the cover of the third issue of ICON America magazine. Produced under the editorship of Gro Curtis, the magazine was published in spring 2026. The cover shoot with the living legend was photographed and filmed by Charlie Gray at Christopher Walken's home in upstate New York.
The third issue of ICON America celebrates true legends of our time. Titled "Built to Endure", it features none other than Oscar winner Christopher Walken - who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1979 for his performance in 'The Deer Hunter'.
In the intimate photo shoot, the still 82-year-old reveals a more approachable side. In the interview, Christopher Walken reflects on his 60-year career, his childhood in Astoria (Queens), and his distinctive way of speaking. From his beginnings as a child dancer in Astoria to working with the greatest directors of our time... what a life.
And showing no signs of fatigue: he recently took on the lead role in the dark comedy 'Back in Black', where he is praised for his distinctive wit and charisma. Most recently, he captivated millions as Emperor Shaddam IV in 'Dune: Part Two' (2024).
ICON America is published by the US subsidiary of the French media giant Reworld Media. The US edition is part of an international growth strategy: Reworld Media now owns over 80 media brands, including well-known titles such as Grazia.
The ICON brand was originally launched in Italy in 2011 by the Mondadori Group. In January 2023, Reworld Media acquired the ICON and Grazia titles from Mondadori to expand its global portfolio in the fashion and lifestyle sector. Since the magazine is published only twice a year, it is considered more of an exclusive collector's item.
