Berlin-based illustrator Tobi Frank transforms everyday motifs into visual messages. After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communication from the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg in 2020, he began his career as an illustrator, working for publications such as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the equally renowned Spiegel.
Here we present his work 'Bent'. It humorously addresses the well-known internet meme about burnout, daily stress, and guilt.
His focus is primarily on editorial illustrations, album covers, and commissioned work for brands, all of which impress with a vibrant color palette, multifaceted textures, and dynamic arrangements of forms, typography, and space, clearly bearing his signature style. In each project, Tobi explores the interplay between subject matter, surface, and color.
