Since January 1, 2026, all five German national wheelchair basketball teams (the women's and men's senior teams as well as the U23 teams) have been officially outfitted by adidas. This means they will wear the same jersey designs as the able-bodied national teams, sending a powerful message of inclusion and equality in sports.
The campaign for the collaboration was photographed by Tobias Schult. Among those in front of his camera were basketball stars and brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner, Frieda Bühner, and wheelchair basketball national team player Tobias Hell.
The shoot took place at the Kienbaum Olympic and Paralympic Training Center near Berlin. Kienbaum is one of the most important facilities for elite sports in Germany and offers excellent conditions for basketball.
The relaunched partnership between adidas and the German Basketball Federation (DBB) officially begins in 2026. In other words, starting in 2026, adidas will return as the official outfitter for all 23 national teams of the DBB.
