Photographer Esther Haase created a fashion and beauty editorial for DIVA Magazine featuring young actress Leonille Wittgenstein, styled around looks from CHANEL Beauty. The production was led by DIVA editor-in-chief Yasmin El Mohandes, who describes Leonille with clear conviction: “Leonille embodies a kind of beauty that goes far beyond appearances.”
In the accompanying interview, Leonille comes across as open, thoughtful and humorous. She speaks about inspiration, her connection to Salzburg, and aspirations that reach far beyond specific roles. Esther Haase’s imagery captures precisely this attitude – calm, meditative and guided by a fine sensitivity for the moment.
Leonille herself describes the experience very candidly: “Exciting! I was very nervous beforehand, I had never done a shoot like this before and even watched a few YouTube tutorials. But once I arrived at the studio, the nervousness disappeared immediately. The whole team welcomed me so warmly, and with the music playing and the wonderful photographer Esther Haase, the shoot became great fun.”
Asked whether she felt more like an actress or a model in front of the camera, Leonille explains: “I wouldn’t compare acting and modeling, because both tell stories in their own way – through gestures, movement and gaze. For each look, I found my own approach and created a distinct scenario.”
Leonille Wittgenstein has appeared in cinema productions such as 'Der Baader Meinhof Komplex' and gained wider recognition through television series including 'Davos' and, most notably, the award-winning series 'Die Zweiflers', which was honored as Best Series in Cannes.
