The Swedish illustrator Peter Gehrman c/o AGENTMOLLY & CO is known for his soft, almost airbrush-like style in which he explores themes such as relationships, memories, and our inner landscapes. His works often feel dreamlike, introspective, and at the same time carried by a subtle tension: people in moments of calm, surrounded by a world that never stands still – leaves and blossoms swirling around them, sharp lines of spaces and architecture creating both movement and stillness.
His recent publications include illustrations for FAZ Quarterly on the topic of crisis chat, works for POLITICO Europe about the precarious situation of the Roma community - among them a haunting piece on decades of forced sterilizations of Roma women and the fight for justice. For Svensk Natur he visualized the loss of glaciers, such as Okjökull in Iceland, as well as nostalgic reflections on a natural world disappearing beyond return. For Tidningen Vision he created color-intensive, almost grotesque motifs on health issues in the workplace.
Gehrman's works move between melancholy and hope, between lightness and deep emotional resonance - illustrations that offer fewer answers than they open spaces to reflect on our relationship to the world, to others, and to ourselves.
