Munich-based photographer Lauren Leis presents her Fall/Winter '25 campaign for the Copenhagen-based label O.Files, founded in 2018, on gosee.news. This young menswear brand has garnered international attention with its sophisticated, handcrafted design language.
For the current campaign, Lauren developed a visual style that showcases the collection in a minimalist setting. The imagery focuses attention on silhouettes, fabrics, and attitude, subtly yet powerfully highlighting O.Files' design philosophy.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2018 by Oscar Jardorf, the label has pursued an approach from the outset that embraces timeless fashion, moving beyond fleeting trends. The pieces are created with a high standard of material quality and form, characterized by Scandinavian functionality, Italian elegance, and a Japanese-inspired sensitivity to texture and understated expression.
We'd like to briefly introduce you to fashion and beauty photographer Lauren Leis :
How did you get into photography, and what sources of inspiration shape your modern, feminine visual style? "I grew up in a family of photographers—my father behind the camera, my mother a model and journalist—so I spent a lot of time in my father's photo studio as a child and developed a passion for photography early on.
Besides visual art, music was a big part of my life. After early vocal training at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts, I was involved in various music projects for a long time. The interplay between 'on stage' and 'behind the stage' remains a big draw.
I studied Fine Media Art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and at the ZKM, Center for Art and Media. There, I had the freedom to experiment and blur the lines between media—whether photography, video, concept art, or performance. For me, the medium was secondary, as long as it allowed for expression. After my studies, my path to photography was clear." I also completed the additional photography exam and consciously specialized in fashion photography, where I can combine all my influences.
What role does New York play in your creative process? Is the city primarily a source of inspiration, a workplace, or both? "My mother is originally from New York; she was even Miss Manhattan ;) I spent a lot of time there (before and during my studies, and now for work).
New York has always held a certain magic for me. That energy, that creative resonance, it's also a piece of home. To this day, I try to be there regularly and produce work. Currently, I work from Munich, where we have a studio. But I see myself working in both locations in the future. Right now, I like the balance: Munich for work, and traveling for speed and inspiration."
What is the decisive element for you in a successful fashion or beauty shoot: technical perfection or the emotional impact? "My photography always focuses on beauty, sensuality, the body, femininity, and a modern, natural expression."
I work technically – but I still want to maintain a certain lightness, spontaneity, and authenticity. And also a certain vulnerability. My pictures shouldn't seem over-staged, but rather alive."
