For the MUGLER Fall/Winter 2026–27 campaign “The Commander”, Lauren Aiello was responsible for Vivian Jenna Wilson’s make-up. The campaign was photographed by Robi Rodriguez under the creative direction of Mugler Creative Director Miguel Castro Freitas.
“The Commander” marks the second chapter of Castro Freitas’ “A Trilogy of Glorified Clichés” and explores one of the house’s defining codes: power dressing. Strong shoulders, architectural silhouettes, sharply drawn lines and glossy materials become a form of armour – playing with notions of authority, seduction and control.
In Robi Rodriguez’s cinematic, at times surreal imagery, Vivian Jenna Wilson moves between different roles: she commands, observes, obeys and refuses. Power becomes something that can be staged, exchanged and ultimately rejected.
Lauren Aiello was responsible for the campaign’s striking make-up. With flawless skin and vivid orange-red lips, she complements the visual language of “The Commander”. The make-up artist is represented in Paris by Bird Production.
