Courage meets passion: In the 2025|2026 season, the Bremer Philharmoniker once again build a vibrant bridge between tradition and modernity. With a sharp eye for the extraordinary, their new season book '25 was brought to life by internationally renowned fashion photographer Esther Haase.
Born in Bremen and now based between London, Paris, and Hamburg, Esther Haase is known for her distinctive visual language – playful, expressive, and full of charm. She regularly photographs international celebrities for publications like Madame Figaro, and now she turns her lens to the musicians of the Bremer Philharmoniker.
Under her direction, members of the ensemble were transformed into modern icons of classical music. Inspired by various musical eras and composers such as Mozart, Haydn, Brahms, Stravinsky, and Beethoven, she created stylized portraits that unite past and present in surprising ways. Baroque elegance meets futuristic flair: traditional costumes are paired with technical gadgets, resulting in a striking play of contrasts that reimagines the spirit of classical music.
The campaign’s central idea: classical music is not exclusive, stiff, or untouchable – it is playful, inspiring, and approachable. It’s not an elitist statement, but a form of expression that suits everyone. The concept invites a kind of “costume rehearsal” – curious, unfiltered, and free of rigid etiquette.
Creative concept, design, and production were led by the Bremen-based agency H&K+S. The campaign is now visible throughout the city – on citylight posters, billboards, and brochures.
Classical music has style. And substance. And friends - suchas Esther.
