For the current DAIZO Eyewear campaign, Denise Grundmann c/o BALLSAAL was responsible for hair & make-up, photographed by Quirin Siegert. The visual language follows a reduced aesthetic with a focus on form, material, and surface.
DAIZO stands for slow luxury eyewear, handcrafted in Japan. At the core are rigorously designed models that precisely combine design and craftsmanship.
A full-acetate double bridge aviator with slim temples features a custom-developed 180-degree hinge system with exposed titanium plating. Limited to 75 pieces per colorway, it is engineered for maximum wearing comfort. With “Eki”, a square aviator crafted from cold-rolled titanium with an acetate nose bridge, DAIZO translates classic forms into a distinctly Japanese design language – complemented by dual-tone polished titanium and 18-karat gold plating. A butterfly silhouette, milled from a single block of Italian and Japanese acetate, uses faceted edges to create three-dimensional depth.
Denise Grundmann picks up this approach in her beauty direction. It reinforces the graphic precision of the frames and brings materiality and construction to the forefront.
