Illustration agency Colagene, which is based in Paris and Montreal, has just redesigned its website in order to present the works of illustrators with an improved layout: “Large images boldly stand out on the page and catch the eyes of visitors looking to peruse the firm’s catalogue; those wishing to peruse even further can now use search filters to navigate by specific disciplines, subjects and techniques.”
TAKESHI illustrated a jewelry special for French L'EXPRESS STYLE on the topic of romance, chic and rock & roll. Further works by Emeric Trahand aka TAKESHI can be seen directly on COLAGENE.
'The words that deceive us' is the name of the new society report of French Femme Majuscule magazine, illustrated by Emmanuel Polanco. “Will the image kill the text?” The burning issue for all of us today was illustrated by Nazario Graziano as commissioned by CLES MAGAZINE, with which COLAGENE has worked together closely for many years. We also have a glimpse of the portfolio of the Italian collage specialist, who describes his style as follows: 'My world is romantic, ironic, and no-conformist. I like to think of it as 'A dive into the past with a Gore-Tex lifesaver'. And what does he enjoy most about his work as an illustrator? 'Creating emotions when someone looks at my work.' Want to know more about Nazario? Please contact COLAGENE directly.
One scene, and four moments of the day: Giordano Poloni illustrated an article on crime prevention for QUARTZ MAGAZINE. The illustrator residing in Milan studied film while, at the same time, launching his career with clients such as The Guardian, Scientific American magazine, The New Scientist, Random House Australia, Wired UK, TIM Mobile... The Italian artist is inspired by comic books, music videos, films, and photography books.
Owen GENT is an award-winning illustrator who uses a combination of traditional and digital techniques to capture the warmth and beauty in every job he approaches. He recently illustrated for Modern Reformation magazine. We have insight into his portfolio here on GoSee, and there is more directly via COLAGENE.
UNCLE GINGER was in charge of animation and composing of a promotion for EPISONA Molecular Diagnostics. The animation studio is driven by the two illustrators Owen Gent and Hugh Cowling from Bristol.
"When we planned to redesign our website and create animations to help articulate our story, we were looking for something completely original. We were fortunate to find Owen and Hugh from Uncle Ginger. They helped us turn a complex science story into a warm and inviting journey," Alan Horsager, President & CEO of Episona, tells us.
COLAGENE is now pleased to represent the two Italian artists Maurizio and Elena aka BOMBOLAND. Their intricate and cheerful project works are used in the areas of advertising, corporate, magazines, etc. We present a selection from their portfolio here on GoSee.
The COLAGENE team introduces the duo as follows: 'Within few years, Bomboland has been able to carve out a space in the world of international illustration with a well-defined and recognizable style, but not without the versatility that allows them to create images for many types of projects and even more different types of clients. Their secret lies in paper cut-outs as well as their mastery of digital technology. They present us with their last projects; a magnificent campaign entitled "Don't let food get in between" for dental floss brand Guardian, made in collaboration with DDB Singapore. We can also find an illustration for Il Giornale della famiglia, plus an absolutely charming illustration of a crocodile for PUH magazine. Curious? Watch an overview of their working universe in this video. Be sure to have a small Italian dictionary within easy reach!"
