Just get in and go: for his latest personal project, LA-based photographer & director Jeff Ludes took a Rivian R1S in a beautiful shade of green and headed into the mountains with a small crew. The destination was a picturesque campsite – with a few highly photogenic stops along the way.

The result is an effortless mix of transportation and lifestyle photography. Rather than staging the car as a classic hero against an epic landscape, Jeff tells a small roadtrip story: a stop at a local store, a car wash, a hammock, an improvised camp and moments spent taking in the scenery. The Rivian becomes a natural companion along the way – and that’s precisely what gives the series its charm.

Cinematic imagery, natural light and casually captured moments create the feeling of a perfect weekend somewhere between Los Angeles and the mountains. You immediately want to jump in, close the doors and come along for the ride.

The all-electric Rivian R1S is a perfect fit for the story. Designed to move comfortably between everyday life, roadtrips and outdoor adventures, the three-row SUV’s versatility comes through naturally in Jeff’s images.

Based in Los Angeles, Jeff Ludes works across automotive, transportation and lifestyle as both photographer and director. His work goes beyond simply making cars look good, combining vehicles, people and locations to create images that feel lived-in, cinematic and emotionally engaging.
