CONTINENTAL PRODUCTIONS übernahm die Produktion eines Commercials des neuen CITROEN C3 WRC CONCEPT CAR "Savage Beauty" (Regie: Mark Lloyd), der auf der Paris Motorshow 2016 Premiere feierte. "We produced this film for Citroen to give the public a foretaste of what is coming next for the 2017 FIA WRC Championship. The director Mark Lloyd created and directed this amazing SAVAGE BEAUTY film. When Point Cloud meets CGI car. We used the Point Cloud technology for the backgrounds and bring the CGI car in. Mark wanted to scan a real environment of a WRC race for its strength and reality. We finally scanned with the point cloud technic a WRC Stage of Rally de Portugal in May. The team Scanned this stage during the race with the public and the cars but as well 4 days after to get every details of this nature and road environment. Trees, mountains, rocks, streams and of course every part of the the road !
With this amazing technic you then create a 3D render of the real existing landscape that allows you to move your camera in any place, from the top of a tree to the back of a little stone of the road … Mark has chosen a pure black and white point cloud render so the red strong C3 WRC stands out perfectly in the landscape. Citroen is the first car constructor to use this technic for a brand film and we are happy they have chosen Continental Productions to produce it. An amazing challenge with an amazing director."
