Unapologetic. Bold. Raw. With The Identity Issue, Container Love releases its second print edition – 240 pages filled with authenticity, diversity, and queer storytelling. The magazine features artists and actors from around the world, interviews with music acts, creators, and designers, and dives deep into a wide variety of lived experiences.

At a time when queer visibility is more important than ever, The Identity Issue stands as a manifesto for culture, community, and radical visibility. With this edition, Container Love once again shows what storytelling truly means.

The initiator and publisher is Christian Ruess, the creative mind behind Studio Christian Ruess, a Berlin-based studio specializing in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. With a clear focus on storytelling, diversity, and inclusion, he creates experiences that go beyond traditional campaigns – experiences that feel real and profound. Together with his team, he has worked for renowned brands such as H&M, Cupra, Google, John Frieda, and Deichmann, always putting the stories behind the brands at the center.

Alongside his work as Creative Director, Ruess is also the founder of Container Love® – a platform, agency, and magazine dedicated to culture marketing, diversity, and visibility. Through films, campaigns, events, and both online and print publications, Container Love has been giving authentic perspectives a stage since 2013. As publisher of the magazine, Christian provides space for bold, forward-thinking ideas – for brands, agencies, and people.

Currently, Christian and his team are preparing the launch event and exhibition in Berlin. While images are being hammered into walls and guest lists are finalized around him, he took the time to answer our questions about the new print issue.

GoSee: What does identity mean to you personally, and how is this theme reflected in the new issue? Christian: For me, identity means being myself – visible, fearless, real. Identity shapes how we live, love, and are seen. It’s fluid, complex, sometimes difficult to understand, sometimes to question. The new issue does exactly that: asking questions, offering insights, sharing stories – from people who have explored their identity and who can, above all, be role models.

GoSee: Which artists and stories are particularly in focus in this issue, and what do you hope readers will take away from engaging with the theme? Christian: Every editorial has been curated and closely accompanied by my team – and that’s what makes each story so personal. Of course, all the stories move me, but these three I would like to highlight in particular: Ryan Robichaux, an artist from Los Angeles whom I’ve admired for a long time, takes us along on his journey and talks about his transition and his art. Model Sadiq Desh, face of the Calvin Klein Pride campaign, shares what it was like to leave his home behind in order to be himself. And with drag superstar Tayce, we spent an afternoon in London talking about queer life in the city.

In the end, it’s about showing how multifaceted identity can be – and how important it is that people are able to express themselves and be visible.

The launch event takes place on Thursday, September 4, 18:00 – 22:00 in Berlin-Neukölln.
