We are very pleased to welcome Daniel Moorey, Head of Photography and Illustration at adamandeveDDB London, once again this year at UPDATE in Berlin. In the multiple award-winning agency, he is in charge of realizing print campaigns and moving images on all channels - whether digital, ambient, events, press and PR, posters or even social media and Instagram. He masters all visual disciplines from photography, illustration, projection mapping, matte painting through to film.
Daniel was Head of Art Buying at DDB London for eight years and an Art Buyer at AMVBBDO for ten. In recent years, he has been involved in the most famous campaigns to be launched into the world from London for customers including Harvey Nichols, Guinness, Sainsbury’s, The Economist, Heal’s, Dulux, BBC, The Guardian, and VW. Valued for his expertise, he has been a juror for D&AD, Campaign Photo, PDN New York, AOP, Rangefinder, YCN and at the GoSeeAWARDS, which he is now supporting for the second time. “I was so inspired by UPDATE when I visited the event last year for the first time. The atmosphere was great, and I met a lot of interesting agents and creatives. And it was a great opportunity to finally get to know the faces behind GoSee, since I have already been reading the News for many years.”
Daniel Moorey also highly recommended the latest adam&eveDDB campaigns, which are just perfect for GoSee: thieving testimonials with illustrated masks, typical cat shenanigans, and a Summer of Love – all blended with an extra-large portion of British humor, just the way we like it. In a psychedelic cartoon, the agency adam&eveDDB staged a musical row between a hippie cat and a rock & roll monster battling over the 'Summer of Love' or 'Summer of Hate'. The winner in the end is as usual the advertised product: MARMITE. And since Marmite and everything about it is so popular on the island, 'love it or hate it' is back in everybody's mouth.
Ben Tollett, Executive Creative Director at adam&eveDDB tells us: "What was wrong with the First Summer of Love in 1967, the Second Summer of Love in 1988 and the Third Summer of Love in 2004? Not enough recreational Marmite use. But things are about to change. Welcome to Marmite's Summer of Love not Hate 2015. It's just like your standard Summer of Love. But with a little bit of hate thrown in. Groovy.” Even the packaging was changed to match the Woodstock inspired motifs. The animation was done by Andy Baker, and the illustration by Jim Stoten; Art Director was Frank Ginger.
