"Not a film, not a photo, not a GIF—no, it’s a 'wiggle' shot, straight from a 'wiggle cam,'" explains photographer Patrik Lindén.
A wigglegram is based on the principles of stereoscopy. A specialized camera (or an array of multiple lenses) captures the same subject simultaneously from slightly offset angles. When these individual frames are played back in a rapid, continuous loop—creating a "wiggling" motion—the viewer perceives a three-dimensional depth effect (3D parallax), all without the need for VR headsets or 3D glasses.
Where can a wiggle cam be used? Virtually anywhere—the possibilities are truly limitless, as Patrik demonstrates with his fine selection of work here on gosee.news.
