Born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, Nick Garcia has been surrounded by photography, cameras, lenses and a sensitivity to art his whole life. He began his training with his father, renowned Colombian photographer Enrique Garcia. To further his art he travelled to America to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
Focused in fashion, portraits, and advertising photography, Nick is currently recognized among corporate and industry professionals for his ability to understand the intricacies of powerful images. His passion for both architecture and fashion has given him a very distinctive signature edge on image composition for environmental portraits. Thus, as one of Miami’s top portrait photographers, he has been trusted to shoot some of the city’s special style features as well as powerful personalities including Pele, Martina Navratilova, Roberto Coin, Facundo Bacardi, Jorge Perez, Emilio Estefan, Adrienne Arsht, Chopard’s Karl Scheufele, NBC's Cesar Conde and Roy Black among many others.
From his Miami-based Studio he’s become a regular contributor of national publishers such as Time Inc., Modern Luxury, Niche Media, Haute Living, Billboard Magazine, Firebrand Media and Televisa International. Locally he’s also the regular cover-photographer selection of publications such as Haute Miami, Brickell Magazine, Key Biscayne Magazine and Florida Trend. Nick is also proud to work with many music artists, atheletes, celebrities, and world brands such as Avianca Airlines, Procter and Gamble, Citi, Dove, InterContinental Hotels, LG Electronics, Marriot Hotel, St. Regis Hotels and many more.
