Whether I am channeling my out-of-the-box perspective via haute couture or adding an avant-garde edge to commercial projects, beauty is my business. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I am inspired by the experimental fashion and film stepping into the spotlight from my home base in Amsterdam. Yet it is international collaboration that really gets my creative heart pumping. Whether it results in a look that's fresh and crispy clean or one colored by quirky innovation like sprinkles of dirt or a mosaic of stone eye shadow, I feed off the energy of diverse creative partners to help bring new insight into fresh fashion.
My hallmark, a juxtaposition of order and tumult, is the result of a somewhat uncommon background for the fashion and film world: A seven-year stint in the military police and national police has taught me drive and focus, organization and a strong work ethic. Meanwhile, my lifelong hobbies of drawing and painting have kept me open to unexpected inspiration and experimentation. After all, I believe my job is not just about applying makeup; it's about creating an image.
