The exhibition 'Hush Hush' is Olaf Heine's first in Munich and is presented by the gallery IMMAGIS in cooperation with TeNeues Publishing. Olaf Heine is presenting a selection of photos from his Brazil series which appeared as a book in 2014 at teNeues as well as portraits of musicians, actors, authors, and athletes.
Olaf Heine, who has been among the best-known portrait photographers since the late 1990s, works for the most part in black & white. From Coldplay and U2, Rammstein and Radiohead, to Sting and Sportfreunde Stiller, Olaf Heine has not only staged uncountable star musicians but also has significant say in what makes it onto the covers of LPs and CDs, touring posters and in the corresponding music videos worldwide.
He also works closely with top international athletes, authors and Hollywood actors. For the first time in Munich, his photos of stars the likes of Oscar winner Jared Leto, Don Cheadle, Herbert Grönemeyer, Bret Easton Ellis, Snoop Dog, Bono, Anna Loos and Thomas Kretschmann can now be seen alongside portraits of athletes such as Philipp Lahm or Dirk Nowitzki.
The gallery IMMAGIS was founded by Kathrin Köhler in 2009 and specializes in contemporary photographic art. IMMAGIS stands for excellent, classic, and extravagant positions in the international photography scene, whether the world’s top photographers or emerging young talents.
