Tobias HUTZLER c/o ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS ist fasziniert und inspiriert von Masatane Muto - Musiker, Künstler, Schöpfer und berühmt für seine weltweite Rolle als Botschafter bei der Suche nach einem Heilmittel für die ALS-Krankheit. Bewegt von den innovativen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten, die er nutzt, konzipierte Tobias einen Film, der Mutos Genie zeigen sollte.
Er arbeitete mit Pionierwissenschaftlern zusammen, um Mutos Gehirnwellen mittels EEG zu kartieren, während Muto über Rhythmen nachdachte. Diese Rhythmen wurden in hörbare Musik übersetzt. Dieses Gemeinschaftsprojekt wurde noch faszinierender, als Tobias Avantgarde-Tänzerin Aoi Yamada für das Projekt hinzuzog. Tobias schuf auch die Lichter, die die fesselnde Musik widerspiegeln, die in Mutos Kopf geboren und mithilfe von EEG übersetzt wurde.
Tobias über das Projekt: “Brain Waves, a unique blend of science and art! For this project, I collaborated with one of the world’s leading neuroscientists. Using an EEG, we captured the patterns and frequencies of brain waves of artist and musician Masatane Muto. We measured the brain waves while he was composing and playing his music track. Then we transformed them into a visual and audio file, exploring the inner workings and landscapes of the mind. The brain waves were then transformed into music and light for this film. Its about the form and energy of waves: from brainwaves to sound waves and, ultimately, the rhythm and expression of waves in the dance. The ping sound in the background is the sound and rhythm of brain waves. Prepare to be mesmerized as the pulsating beats build a breathtaking choreography with cutting-edge visual effects, all while celebrating the transformative power of the mind.
Iconic artist & musician Masatane Muto, who has created a global movement for ALS, is tapping into the astonishing potential of brain wave communication, igniting a thrilling journey from the rhythms of EEG brain waves to sound waves and the dancer’s imagination, a language of movement and liberation.
The protagonist is fighting against ALS, he’s losing his muscle power and has been developing ways to create music. Through his eye movement and now through his brain waves. It was shot in Tokyo, featuring world renowned artist and dancer Aoi Yamada.”
