It took me a long time to realize that what I do isn't something everyone can do. Structure, organization, setting priorities, maintaining the big picture—it’s second nature to me. For a long time, I thought, "I’m not really doing anything special." But these soft skills—along with methodological and social competencies—are a huge part of my job.
I thrive in situations where others might lose the thread, fail to fully think through projects, get project stages mixed up, or see things fall apart due to poor communication. Soft skills—which, just a few years ago, were either missing from applications or completely underrepresented—are vital.
In an era where concepts, channels, and forms of communication are constantly evolving, and where we are in a state of perpetual learning, these skills are sometimes even more important than hard skills.
